Meta announced on the Horizon Worlds' Official Facebook Page that players could win up to $20,000 in its upcoming competition.
The official post reads as follows: "We’re happy to announce that our next competition will kick off on Friday, February 25 at 9:30 AM PT! This competition will run for 6 weeks and we are excited to share that we will be increasing the prize pool to $100,000, with some new “special awards” categories, and the #1 winner will walk away with $20,000! More details to come."
Mark Zuckerberg is betting that Horizon Worlds will play a significant role in Facebook's evolution. A competition with a large monetary reward will likely attract attention and new players to the game.
